The Development Space

“Angeli’s intuition and experience with story makes her such a joy to work with. She has the rare skill of always encouraging you to lean on your instincts to find a way through, and to make what could be good, great”.

A little bit of history

Angeli began her film and TV career in development, working for boutique and international outfits including Carnival Films, Pathé UK and Film4. In 2015 Angeli decided to set up on her own to act on behalf of national and international clients, seeking development and production help for their feature and TV drama projects. During this time she has worked for Altered Image, Element Pictures, Sleeper, Potboiler and many others including all the public funders in the UK and Ireland. In 2016 Angeli was offered the role of Development Producer at Film London to work across their slate of Microwave low budget films.
She also became part of the commissioning team of the BFI Network short film and early feature programmes. During her time there she was development producer on over 50 short films and six feature films. Alongside her work at Film London Angeli created the film and TV development programme Modern Tales, to support the creative and entrepreneurial vision of diverse filmmakers. Its success was significant in bringing to light new voices, such as Adjani Salmon (Dreaming Whilst Black), Koby Adom (Topy Boy, Noughts and Crosses) and Roxy Rezhvany. Angeli has a passionate, on-going commitment to help change up the kinds of stories that we are being told, as well as the storytellers, to ensure their voices are heard.
